MARBLE SHEEP was formed by Ken Matsutani (ex-White Heaven) and Haga at the beginning of 1987. The band made their shocking debut at Yaneura in Shimokitazawa on July of the same year. At the time they were called the "AMON DUUL" of Japan because of their rich, spacious sound grounded in a kaleidoscope of repeated rhythms.
That show lasted long into the night and it seemed that the stage would forever belong to the Marble Sheep.
This CD is a record of the best of the original Marble Sheep up until the time KURIHARA left at the end of 1987.
Spacious Paradise has always been an integral part of the Marble Sheep sound... an intoxicating mixture of spirituality and psychedelia.
Here is where it all originated.
